Eurotruss is one of the leading suppliers of aluminium truss systems on the international market. For 25 years they have been carrying on the idea of light and compact aluminium trusses, which was influenced by the introduction of the revolutionary, fast and strong conical connection system by the founder of the company, Martin Kuyper. In the interview we get an insight into the company history.

1. In 2019 you celebrated your 25th company anniversary. What is the greatest motivation for your work?
We are extremely proud and grateful for all the love and support we have received from all those great people, partners, and users, building an exciting global entertainment industry, during this incredible Eurotruss journey. Without their support and direction we would not have been able to build a world wide leading brand as Eurotruss is today.
More then just building high-quality truss and stages it is motivating to work daily with an amazing team of dynamic people who present and execute solutions and deliveries for our users and partners all around the globe.
2. How has the industry changed since the beginning of your production? What potential is there in this area?
For us it all started in a small barn in Leeuwarden, The Netherlands. Today our truss finds its ways into 97 countries represented by 40 distributors, 3 sales offices and 3 factories. A lot has changed mainly as a result of the market demand. The entertainment industry has matured and grown into a professional industry in which expertise, reliability, service and quality are the key aspects today. It is still a people business but driven by professionals and this has led us to invest in an efficient and modern production process ensuring highest quality at a competitive price and a spot on customer service team to support the partners and customers in the best possible way.
Everything is getting bigger and Eurotruss continues to develop continuously in products and production. The development in products have led to a successful implementation of our largest roofing system, the PR15 Pitch Roof which is very popular and over 30 systems have been successfully delivered in 4 continents.
In production we focus on more output with same workload by implementing robots and ensure the shortest possible delivery time for our customers. A new build out in adding 2000m2 at our factory is scheduled to be ready in 2020.
3. For how many times have you participated at Prolight + Sound as an exhibitor? What are the reasons for your participation?
This will be the 25th time Eurotruss is participating in the show, we were there from the start, first together with Lightpower and for 12 years we have been having our own stand now.
The Prolight + Sound is Europe’s biggest entertainment technology expo. So many nationalities and more than 100.000 international visitors visiting this trade show make it a unique show! For us, this is the ultimate meeting point for our customers and partners from all over the world.
4. What significance does Prolight + Sound have as a trade fair for event technology?
The Prolight+Sound has grown into the most important trade show as all major companies visit this show. Many companies including Eurotruss focus on PLS to introduce new products and share new information with their clients. The timing is also crucial and end March / Begin April tend to be the right time in the year.
It is a meeting point, it gives inspiration to the business and you could also say it works as an educational institute. We are sure that the Prolight+Sound will remain the best show for many more years and has a bright future ahead!
5. With regard to the Prolight + Sound 2020: Can you give visitors a little taste of what to expect?
At this years Prolight+Sound Eurotruss will focus on showing the Eurotruss Group which has today multiple brands of which Eurotruss is the major brand and mothership. However we make space and time to display the other brands.
Next to this we will also display our heavy truss range and new Touring Truss, a showcase of innovation. We hope to see everybody again at this years show.
