For 35 years TMB has been developing cables, connectors, lighting and network cables for the professional entertainment industry. They are still true to their slogan “The First and Still the Best” and present together with manufacturer NW numerous novelties in hall 4.0 at booth E30/E36. A special highlight: At the stand party on the opening day, a visitor can win the award-winning ProPlex IQ tester.
ProPlex series: world novelties and premieres
Among the numerous innovations that TMB has in store for Prolight + Sound is the ProPlex GBS Network Selector – the first of its kind. The 4x Ethernet Source Selector/Merger comes in a robust ProPlex RackMount “blue-box” housing and is designed to connect up to four networks under the same IP address. In addition to the ProPlex GBS Network Selector, the Carlifornian-based company presents the ProPlex IQ Tester, which has caused a sensation and won awards at PLASA and LDI. The award winner is an all-in-one device developed as the first network tester for entertainment production. It analyzes every Ethernet protocol and enables uncomplicated network troubleshooting. The new ProPlex CAT6aX is the first portable, long-life CAT6a cable that can handle a full 100 meters of runs while transmitting up to 10 GB. Other new professional cables include two new ProCable professional audio cables and the ProPlex LSZH DMX installation cable, which meets all international nautical and EU building codes.
Completely flexible with FloppyFlex
Another highlight at the booth of TMB 
and NA is the new, revised version of FloppyFlex. The “neon” LED illumination is even longer extra flexible and can be easily bent due to the use of silicone. Stars like Katy Perry, Coldplay or Adele use the LED light to put themselves in a favourable light. The FireFly products belong to the “ultimate sexy lights”, says Chris Curran, Customer Development at TMB.
The latest member of Solaris product line is the Solaris Flare 210 IP which will be also presented at TMB’s booth. As the first of the Flare 200 series, the compact IP65 Wash headlight combines the famous Flare brightness, brilliant colours and above all the revolutionary ULTRA-smooth colour mixing at any distance. Designed for outdoor use, it can even be used on foaming surfaces.
Also the well-known Mozart series brings some novelties with it. The Mozart UV, which emits only 100% pure UV light, and the Mozart LR, a linear version of the original RGB Mozart, can be viewed at the TMB booth. The series is named after its first use, reveals Chris Curran. The first spotlight was used in a symphony orchestra and the name was Mozart.
Stand party with grand prize
Together with NA, the exclusive manufacturer of the popular Solaris Fixture and ProPlex equipment ranges, TMB will be showing how lighting can be used in a stand show. NA from Latvia looks back on more than 25 years of experience in the production and rental of products for the entertainment industry. The two companies use their experience in show production and show design to become one of the most innovative designers and suppliers of high-quality products in the industry. Prolight + Sound plays an important role as a trade fair. “This is our main fair,” explains Tim Obermann, Sales Manager EU at TMB, “where we present our innovations, meet manufacturers and rental companies. Chris Curran adds: “It’s the international trade fair for the entertainment industry.”
