20 years of Prolight + Sound – nivtec can look back on a long history exhibiting at the trade fair. For the company specialized in stage technology with headquarters in Remscheid, the trade fair date in spring is always set in the appointment calendar. We talked to Lukas Kruszewski, Marketing Manager at nivtec, about the exhibitor and their products this year.
1. What products do you offer and what quality requirements do you have for them?
Lukas Kruszewski: We offer the foundation for every event: the stage. In addition to the stage pedestals, this also includes various variants of substructures and accessories such as railings, stairs, ramps, etc.
Quality and safety are the be-all and end-all for us as a manufacturer of stages. Our system is certified according to DIN 13814. In addition, compliance with the quality standards is continuously monitored during ongoing production. The materials used come exclusively from Germany and the EU.

3. How has the industry changed since you started and which potential do you see?
Lukas Kruszewski: The event industry is currently experiencing a real boom. The change in society has significantly increased the demands placed on private individuals and companies. This results in both positive aspects such as improved communication, increased efficiency as well as negative aspects such as a decline in quality awareness, overloading with information, etc. The result is that the company is now able to offer its customers a wide range of services.
A special event in these times offers a balance to the performance society with the saying ‘faster, higher, stronger’. The experience serves as a balance to decoupled processes (consumption, entertainment, communication) in order to perceive something tangible and real in today’s Internet world.
As stage manufacturers, we naturally feel the increased demands of the event industry. Increased speed in business in general and in the event industry in particular challenges us every day. We don’t just have to keep up with the pace, we have to exceed the demands placed upon us and constantly work on ourselves. This is the only way we can survive as a company in the long term. The development towards an adventure society continues for a long time and challenges us to always be up to date.
4. How many times have you exhibited at Prolight + Sound? What motivates you to participate?
Lukas Kruszewski: Prolight + Sound is the only trade fair we participate in this way and is of great importance to us. People from many countries come together during the trade fair week and we can meet our business partners, customers and some suppliers in person and exchange ideas with them. We take into account suggestions from a wide audience and thus receive important information for improvements and further developments.
Nivtec and Prolight + Sound: This has been a success story since March 1999.
5. What can visitors to Prolight + Sound 2019 look forward to?
Lukas Kruszewski: 20 years of nivtec. 20 years of sweat and work. 20 years of joy and gratitude. We would like to review the exciting times and at the same time give a preview of the future nivtec. You will find us in hall 12.0 at booth E31. Come and see us.
