1. Last year, after a two-year break, there was an increase in the number of events. How did your company perceive the past months?

The pandemic season hit the event industry hard and led to considerable restrictions. However, the past year has shown that there is a huge pent-up demand for cultural and live events, which continues to this day.

Increased demand in all areas of the event industry has led to manufacturers running at full capacity and delivery times for almost everything have increased dramatically. We as a company have also had to adjust to this increased demand and are currently running at full capacity. We ourselves were surprised by the current boom in the industry.

2. What are your expectations for the industry in the coming years?

Although it certainly won’t go on forever, we currently feel that the trend is continuing and we expect it to continue for the rest of the year.

3. What is the importance of Prolight + Sound as an event technology trade show for you?

The Prolight + Sound trade show was and is of great importance to us. However, it is no longer necessary to attend trade fairs to keep up to date with new products. New products are presented all year round and customers can find out about them online, even if this can’t completely replace the impression you get at a trade show. For us, the networking factor is increasingly important. Like any other attendee, we look forward to meeting and exchanging ideas with our customers and business partners in person at the trade fair.

4. How important is it for Amptown Cases to pay attention to environmental and sustainability issues?

Our product is made of 90% wood, one of the most sustainable raw materials that continuously grows back. Our wood is sourced from highly sustainable forestry operations that are FSC and PEFC certified. We use the most modern automatic sawing machines to create almost no waste during production. Sawdust and wood dust are extracted and pressed into wood pallets. A large part of our electricity needs is already covered by our photovoltaic system with 750 solar panels.

5. With regard to Prolight + Sound 2023: Can you give visitors a little taste of what to expect?

Of course, we offer matching flight cases for all current and new equipment. Anyone who would like to find out more about our products in general is cordially invited to visit us at booth D41 in hall 12.1.
