With their participation in the Hog Factor, prospective lighting jockeys have the chance to prove their skills in front of an audience and a jury of experts. Students, trainees and prospective lighting professionals aged between 18 and 25 from Europe, the CIS states, Africa and the Middle East can now apply to take part in “Hog Factor Europe 2020”.
Great opportunity for up-and-coming lighting designers
Since 2014, the Hog Factor has developed into an internationally renowned competition. For young talents and young lighting designers, it is the best opportunity to make contacts in the industry and knock at the door of entertainment. In addition to invaluable experience, the winners (solo or team) can look forward to great prizes and a trip to the Live Design International Show (LDI) in Las Vegas. To win the trip, participants must program a light show using a visualization file on a Hog or Hog 4 PC. The prospective light jockeys can choose one of three songs to create their light show. With the help of free training and the latest Hog tutorial videos at highend.com/learnhog4, High End Systems helps applicants refine their skills before submitting projects. A jury consisting of professionals from High End Systems will select the three finalists who will be invited to Frankfurt.
Final at Prolight + Sound 2020
The top 3 individual participants or teams win a trip to Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt including travel, accommodation and admission. On 1 April, the young lighting designers will have the opportunity to play live at the fair and in front of an international audience. The overall winner(s) will then travel to Las Vegas for the LDI Show in October 2020, where they will meet other lighting enthusiasts and professionals for exclusive activities and events.
