In 2020, Prolight + Sound will be focusing on quality products and services for professionals and exhibitors. PROStage will focus in particular on the theatre and stage segment. Numerous presentations by key players for buyers and planners will be in the spotlight.
PROStage: separate lecture and presentation stage for theatre and stage technology in Hall 12.0
For the first time this year there will be a separate lecture and presentation stage for theatre and stage technology. In Hall 12.0, exhibitors can present many new innovations in detail to their trade visitors. The new trade fair concept for 2020 has been very well received in the industry. According to Ulrike Schuch, Global Sales Director of Waagner-Biro Austria Stage Systems AG, “Prolight + Sound has now developed into a major forum for the sector, not least thanks to the strengthening of the stage technology sector. As the world’s leading supplier, we are happy to use this international network to present our products and solutions live. We are looking forward to new impulses, interesting perspectives and exciting discussions”.
Comprehensive offer for theatre industry
Prolight + Sound aims to continually improve the quality of visitors with special offers tailored to the theatre industry. In addition, the range of products and services is also intended to attract new trade visitors.
The content includes Guided Tours especially for buyers and planners, a Hosted Buyer Programme and a VIP Lounge for decision-makers with high budget responsibilities.
This new offer further enhances the value of the trade fair, which already enjoys a high standing in the industry. For Volker Kirsch, Sales Manager Stage Technology at Bosch Rexroth GmbH, Prolight + Sound is also an important meeting place for the theatre sector: “With its broad spectrum of visitors, Prolight + Sound offers the Bosch Group a good platform for presenting its diverse product portfolio and its expertise in project management in various areas of the theatre industry. At the event, we will receive a great deal of attention for our state-of-the-art automation technology and our SIL-3-certified stage control systems. Personal encounters with visitors give us the opportunity to demonstrate the quality of our consulting services and thus achieve many high-quality leads”.
Names of exhibitors at PROStage
In addition, Prolight + Sound offers a full portfolio of all the products and solutions for a successful presentation in the theatre sector: exhibitors from all the important areas, such as truss systems and floors, automation and curtain technology, right through to special lighting and sound systems and control consoles, have already announced their participation. To name but a few: Alfa System, Bosch Rexroth, Bühnenbau Schnakenberg, Chain Master, Chemtrol, Dieter Cronenberg, Efesto, ETC – Electronic Theatre Controls, Gala Stage Mechanical Systems, Harlequin Germany, Innodeck Floorsystem, J&C Joel, Maquinas Iberica, Movecat, Nivtec-Flexibel, Ritter Maschinen, SBS Dresden, TAIT, Unican, Waagner-Biro Stage Systems, Wahlberg and Wilhelm Westholt. But exhibitors also always have a surprise in store, as our interview with Wahlberg from 2018 proves.
Optimal orientation on the western site
The new theatre and stage area is integrated into the strategic repositioning of Prolight + Sound. The fair will be divided into the ProStage, ProAudio, ProLight, ProMedia and ProEvent product areas, which is also reflected in the layout of the exhibition grounds. To ensure short distances and optimum presentation opportunities, the entire Prolight + Sound will be held on the western section of the Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre. Following last year’s great popularity, Hall 12.0 will again be the first port of call for visitors interested in theatre.
