Welcome home! A very personal statement from Mira Wölfel, Director of Prolight + Sound: “After exactly two years of standstill in the entertainment industry, we are delighted to welcome you as exhibitors and visitors to Prolight + Sound 2022 at the end of April in Frankfurt am Main, right in the heart of Europe. We are doing everything we can to ensure that Prolight + Sound 2022 will take place this year. You can count on us. By the event industry – for the event industry!

Visitors to Prolight + Sound can expect not only a reunion with the industry, but also several expansions of the product range and innovations.

Hotspot for Studio Production and Digital Live Performance

For example, for the first time, you will have your own exhibition areas for studio, DJ & recording solutions. The Studio Village is complemented by individually bookable rooms for product presentations in the Studio Lab. Another brand new feature is the Sound Experience Hub, where audio brands can present their indoor sound reinforcement solutions under real conditions. In the Production + Performance Hub, an interactive Experience Zone for audio production, DJing and digital live performance awaits you. We look forward to your visit.

Comprehensive product range and focus on theatre and stage technology

In general, the event industry is presenting itself more than ever as an independent, self-confident industry platform. At Prolight + Sound 2022, the range of products and services will be divided into thematic segments:

  • ProLight (Hall 12.0, 12.1)
  • ProAudio (Hall 11.0, 11.1)
  • ProMedia (Hall 11.1)
  • ProStage (Hall 12.0)
  • ProEvent (Hall 12.0/12.1 and outdoor area)

The area of theatre and stage technology continues to be a mainstay and a particular focus will be on this area. This is reflected, among other things, in the new Theater + Light Stage in Hall 12.0, where a specialised programme of lectures will be presented.

Central theme: Green Events

Another central theme at the trade fair in spring 2022 is a greener future in the event industry. The message: spectacular visitor experiences and ecological action go hand in hand more than ever. For the first time, the fair will feature a theme day on 27 April with the Green Event Day, which will focus on the responsible use of natural resources. On the “Main Stage” in Hall 11.1, companies and associations will present their green initiatives and underline that commitment to sustainability can also pay off economically.
