The German event industry is becoming increasingly important both nationally and internationally. With a current annual turnover of 50 billion euros, it is developing into a strong economic sector. Accordingly, there is an increasing demand for qualified specialists who can efficiently plan and carry out experience-oriented events.
Event management becomes more international
Various training centres are responding to these developments with study and training opportunities. The offers are manifold. For example, the Beuth Hochschule Berlin and the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen Giessen offer bachelor courses in event technology and management.
The study course “Veranstaltungsmanagement” of the university Hannover deals particularly with the increasing international authority requirements for Eventmanager. In the context of the European education project In-Vent the university cooperates with the association for media and meeting technology registered association (VPLT) and other educational partners from Slovenia, Spain, Latvia and England. This cooperation, supported by Erasmus+, opens up new perspectives for students and trainers and strengthens the trend towards international event management.
