Whether mobile lighting trusses, rotating stages or movable LED walls – modern event technology requires flexible, reliable solutions for power and data supply. This is exactly where Conductix-Wampfler comes into play. The international specialist will be presenting its solutions for reliably supplying moving systems at Prolight + Sound 2025 in Frankfurt am Main – from 8 to 11 April in Hall 12.0, Stand E21.
Specialist for mobile power and data supply
Conductix-Wampfler GmbH, headquartered in Weil am Rhein, is known worldwide for its systems for power and data transmission for mobile consumers. Whether machines, devices or complex stage technology – Conductix-Wampfler provides the right solution wherever movement meets supply.
Typical areas of application in the event industry are
- Power and data supply for lighting trusses
- Slip ring assemblies for revolving stages
- Combined solutions with fibre optic and power supply for mobile media systems
“If a machine or device is moving and needs to be supplied with power or data, then we usually have the right product for it – whether above or below the stage,” explains Marianne Schliessmann, Manager Sales and Application Engineering at Conductix-Wampfler.
Diversity is strength – solutions from a single source

What particularly characterises Conductix-Wampfler is the combination of high technical reliability and an exceptionally wide product range. Both reel systems and slip ring assemblies are characterised by their durability, operational reliability and flexibility in use.
“We have a very broad product range. This means that we are a full-scale supplier. We don’t just have one product for one thing, but many different products for many different applications,” emphasises Schliessmann.
This leads to customised solutions – and often to surprising alternatives: “If a customer wants two reels – one for Ethernet, one for energy – then we suggest: Why not a combined reel? If it fits locally, that’s much better.”
The best possible solution also takes centre stage when it comes to technical issues. Schließmann adds: “CAT 7 over copper? We can do that. But why not a fibre optic drum? It’s faster, more reliable – and we supply it pre-assembled.”
Why Frankfurt was chosen
After several trade fair appearances alternating with Showtech in Berlin, Conductix-Wampfler is deliberately focussing on Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt in 2025. The reason: the international reach and the greater thematic diversity.
“In Berlin, it’s very theatre-heavy. In Frankfurt, we see more diversity – event technology in general, media technology, video, international contacts. That suits us better,” says Schließmann. Economic reasons also played a role: “Two trade fair appearances at the same time? That’s not affordable. Frankfurt offers us greater reach in one appearance.”
A company with a history and global presence
Conductix-Wampfler is part of the international Delachaux Group and is one of the world’s leading suppliers of energy and data transmission systems for moving industrial applications. The company was formed from the merger of Wampfler AG with Conductix and can look back on a history spanning more than 60 years.
With production sites in Europe, North America and Asia, Conductix-Wampfler is globally positioned – and at the same time regionally rooted in its markets. In addition to solutions for the event industry, the company also supplies the automotive industry, logistics, environmental technology and crane technology, among others.
“We manufacture many of our products in Europe – in Germany, Italy and France. At the same time, we also produce in the USA and China in order to serve the markets directly,” says Marianne Schliessmann.
