The exhibition “Faces Behind the Voices” is focused on the (synchronized) voices of the most famous Hollywood actors and figures. Created by the Berlin-based photographer and initiator of the show, Marco Justus Schöler, the 30 high-quality portraits show the faces of the most popular German dubbing voices, who are seldom in the limelight, in contrast with their “alter egos” in a special exhibition space.
The project will be extended to Prolight + Sound from April 4-7, the international trade fair for technology and services of entertainment, integrated systems and creation.
The multimedia staging of Germany’s most well-known voice-over artist
30 stories, 30 portraits, 30 unique voices – from James Bond to Bruce Wayne to SpongeBob, through interactive panels, visitors learn more about the most well-known voices in Germany, hearing legendary film clips and anecdotes from the everyday work life of the voice-over artist and are slowly led to the solution: which greats from TV and film have already be represented in German by those shown here?
“Precision, the highest quality standards and a perfect interaction between people and technology: those are the factors that characterize professional dubbing production,” said Michael Biwer, Group Show Director in the area of Entertainment, Media & Creative Industries at the Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH.
“Prolight + Sound has been an information platform since years for operators of famous sound studios in which the sound of big movies is created. We are pleased to bring attention to this section of the entertainment industry with the exhibition ‘Behind the Voices’, and with that put the spotlight on the faces behind the voices.”
