In addition to innovative products, presentations by international industry experts and networking, the award ceremonies are an important part of Prolight + Sound. The Opus – German Stage Award has been one of the most important awards in the industry since 2002. In order to honor original projects, productions and creative minds in the area of stage design, Messe Frankfurt has launched the application phase for the Opus Award 2019.

Innovative projects can be submitted to the jury until 18 November. Regardless whether individuals, project teams or companies – interested parties can easily upload their achievements via the website and finalize their application. By actively participating in the Opus – German Stage Prize, newcomers also get the chance to draw attention to their extraordinary projects. Until a few years ago, a jury of experts pre-selected the nominees, but this way, a broader variety of productions will be given a chance to win the award. The award ceremony will then take place on April 4th, 2019 in Hall 4.1 as part of Prolight + Sound at the Global Entertainment Technology Show in Frankfurt.
