Finding the right place to stay is an important point for anyone visiting a trade fair. After all, if you’re spending several nights somewhere, as is the case for visitors to Prolight + Sound, you want somewhere comfy to sleep. But that’s not always easy, especially when demand is high – there might not always be room at the inn. The following tips should help you find the right place for you during your visit to Prolight + Sound 2016.
Hotels near Messe Frankfurt and within public transport distance
When it comes to accommodation, Frankfurt has plenty to offer – the city boasts more than 5,000 beds within 15 minutes walking distance of the exhibition centre. If you can bag one of these, Prolight + Sound will be just a short stroll away. The surrounding Rhine-Main area, including Darmstadt, Oberursel, Wiesbaden, Hanau, and Bad Soden, is also well worth a look. All offer more affordable accommodation while being within easy reach of Frankfurt on the RMV transport network. If you buy your PLS ticket online, RMV transport costs are included. Information on the KombiTicket can be found here.
Tips for finding the right place to stay
The Hotelguide Frankfurt can also be very helpful, containing all the information you need about hotel rooms, locations and parking, and you can also book directly through the website. The Frankfurt Tourist Board also has its own website where you can book accommodation, including private rooms as well as hotels. Private rooms are often a cheaper alternative to a hotel (€60 being a standard price for a room) and inquiries can be made through the website.
Other online options include Air B'n'B, Wimdu and Gloveler. Using one of these sites, you could even book an entire flat for your stay.
