The strategic planning of trade fairs, the perfect staging of new products as well as other visual concepts for captivating audiences in a completely new way: these are not easy tasks. The so-called live communication is a suitable tool for implementing corporate goals. In the new Master’s program Strategic Live Communication (SLK) at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen – University of Applied Sciences, students will be able to learn skills and techniques for achieving precisely these goals starting in April 2019. This way it is possible for the graduates to master leading tasks in the event industry. The students learn how to apply the “event” marketing strategy in a manner simultaneously effectively and goal-oriented. In its new course of study, SLK, the University of Applied Sciences aims to develop its portfolio within the area of events, thus augmenting the existing event management and technology program (EMT).
Event management & technology and strategic live communication – specialized knowledge for new concepts as marketing tool
EMT is more than just a series of various effects in live communication. In this course of studies, event technology & marketing are regarded as essential components for the successful presentation of products and companies. In addition to the business administration training (e.g. the modules General Business Administration, Marketing, Event Management, Accounting & Logistics), subjects such as lighting, media technology and rigging are not neglected. Students receive both theoretical knowledge and practical experience. This, for example in the form of a practical semester, plays and important role at the University of Applied Sciences. In recent years it has become clear that the world of events is growing so complex and fluid, making the expansion of EMT important for the training of future managers in the industry.
The SLK Mater’s program is intended to further deepen basic knowledge in business administration and event marketing and to convey important strategies for making wide-ranging decisions in this field. Thus, the modules in the area of employee and company management, but also in operative and strategic planning, enable the targeted use of measures for company expansion.
