Prolight + Sound Moscow has just drawn to a close, after attracting impressive numbers of visitors – more than 13,000 people came to see the latest products from the light, sound, events and music industries. That was a massive 42% increase in visitor numbers over last year. And tech fans from the world over are already enjoying the next technology trade fair. Running from October 8th to 11th, Prolight + Sound Shanghai is hosting more than 500 exhibitors from 18 countries, who are taking advantage of the opportunity to show off their most recent developments.
Highlights of Prolight + Sound Shanghai
Exhibitors in the Shanghai New International Expo Centre include familiar names such as Avid, Behringer, Bose, Yamaha, TW Audio, and JBL. The latest trends and technical developments are also the subject of more than ten different seminars. Just as at Messe Frankfurt, Prolight + Sound Shanghai is hosting a Concert Sound Arena, where ten audio manufacturers are presenting their products live. You can also find the Stage Art Design and Technology Forum; the Acoustics Technology Forum; and the Shanghai Stage Art Design and Technology Showcase.
One of the highlights of this year’s PLS Shanghai is Human Centered Media, an enriched interactive environment that translates human motion into art. Sensors record motion and react to hand and body gestures. A dome projection, video walls, and interactive ‘WeRobots’ are at one and the same time interactive works of art and an insight into innovative new technology. This novel interactive technology is ideal for museums, the theatre, and indeed, public events of all kinds.
The Shanghai iteration of Prolight + Sound has established itself as an annual fixture for manufacturers in the light and sound industries the world over. And visitor numbers are showing a year on year increase. This year, more than 25,000 guests from across the globe are expected.
