Based in Brussels, the start-up Konligo specialises in redesigning the event landscape with its innovative stages and domes. These structures are based on advanced scissor technology that is not only visually appealing, but also impresses with its practical speed and efficiency. Set up in just 15 to 30 minutes, these mobile stages represent both aesthetics and functionality. The young company presented its technology and products for the first time at Prolight + Sound 2024.

Product Highlights from Konligo at Prolight + Sound 2024
Konligo offers a variety of structures suitable for different applications and types of events. These include:
- Fastival Mobile Stage V1: A compact yet robust stage for concerts and events, which can be set up in less than 15 minutes by just two people. It allows various customisation options for lighting, covers and decorations – as illustrated at this year’s Prolight + Sound expo.
- Arko Mobile Domes: These are the siblings of the Fastival with smaller dimensional spans. They offer the same technical specifications and quick setup times – as demonstrated at this year’s Prolight + Sound expo.
- Customized shapes and sizes: The standard products can be combined with different modules to enlarge the useful surface area. But in addition, the R&D department specializes in crafting tailor-made shapes to suit unique project needs.
Our products are particularly suitable for smaller stages. They can be easily transported in a small van. This means they can also be set up and used in challenging locations with for example obstacles or only reachable via narrow paths. Ideal for street festivals, small venues and tourism.

Quick and immediate use
Konligo’s scissor technology enables the creation of quickly deployable and immediately ready-to-use structures. This technique allows for the rapid installation of stages and domes which can be easily customised to the needs of the event. The simplicity of handling and quick setup and teardown times make them ideal for time-sensitive events.
Compact, portable, easy to store and effortlessly set up
Konligo’s structures are noted for their assembly efficiency. They can be fully installed on average within 15 to 30 minutes and are easy to transport. With a maximum load of 500kg distributed across 9 points, they offer a robust yet flexible solution for events.
Konligo thus sets new standards in event design and logistics, promoting a more sustainable future for the entire industry.
Sustainability is more than just a marketing term
At Konligo, sustainability is more than just a buzzword alongside others like AI, A/B testing, or eco-friendliness. It is a fundamental belief deeply embedded in the company’s core values. For Konligo, sustainability means making responsible decisions that consider both ecological and economic aspects. But what does this actually mean, and how does it differ from greenwashing?
Konligo is currently at an exciting point in its development—transitioning from a startup to a scale-up. This phase leads to significant discussions about choosing between sustainability and economic necessities. On one hand, there’s the vision of a waste-free event sector; on the other, the harsh economic reality. These conflicting goals present a challenging equation with many complex parameters.
The company has opted for a transparent approach that includes a mix of sustainable and economic solutions. Konligo may not be able to operate completely CO2-neutral, but the company is continually striving to improve its ecological footprint without jeopardizing its existence. This solution is not fixed but is regularly reviewed to ensure it remains true to both the vision and core values while also being a viable and self-sustaining business model. After all, it would be counterproductive if a company had to close its doors after three years, even if its products were highly sustainable.
Current Situation and Next Steps
Konligo is on its way but hasn’t reached its destination yet. The company is doing everything within its power to deliver sustainable products:
- Design and Modularity: The products are future-proof and time-adaptable as they are modular and interchangeable. Every part of the product can be replaced, similar to the Fairphone.
- Reuse of Parts: All components can be reused in almost all structures, as not just a product, but an adaptable kit has been developed, allowing for various forms.
- Local Production: The production and assembly is done in Belgium, using suppliers as local as possible to minimize CO2 emissions, a practice not common among other suppliers of temporary structures. The main suppliers are Belgian companies, and the recycled aluminum comes from Belgium.
Despite its commitment, there are areas that Konligo is transparent about and aims to improve.
- CNC-machined Connections: These require a lot of energy and produce waste that can be recycled, but still requires energy. Konligo has invested in a casting mold, making the connections cast and thus more sustainable.
- Coating: The aluminum beams are painted to extend their lifespan, although painting itself is not ideal.
- Membranes: Currently, no supplier can offer recyclable options. As a countermeasure, Konligo tries to reuse old membranes for coverings and protective tarps.
Sustainability an integral part of the corporate philosophy
Konligo does not claim to have the best ecological product on the market, but the company endeavours to create the most sustainable product under the given circumstances. This motivation is not based on a trend, but is an integral part of the company’s philosophy. In addition, Konligo actively participates in various circular economy and sustainable economy groups to ensure that new ecological alternatives can be integrated into products as quickly as possible.
A call to action: Together for a greener event industry
Konligo is transforming event logistics with its products, utilising advanced, sustainable technologies to improve the way we experience events and offer new ways of how stage set-up takes place behind the scenes. With a constant eye on the future and a firm commitment to environmental and economic sustainability, the company is proving that it is possible to operate responsibly in the modern world. By continuing to improve its products and processes and orienting them to real needs, Konligo aims to set new standards for the industry.
Konligo invites everyone to become part of this sustainable movement that not only protects the environment, but also changes the way we think and act. With every event Konligo equips, it proves that sustainability and efficiency can go hand in hand, inspiring companies and individuals alike to make sustainable choices at their own events.
Konligo’s foundation and vision
Konligo was founded in 2018 with the aim of sustainably changing the way events are realised. The company combines creative engineering with responsible behaviour and a sustainable design approach. Konligo’s vision is to create more immersive and eye-catching experiences through intelligent design, while using fewer resources, producing less waste and minimising set-up times.
