Founded in 2007 in Wedemark near Hanover, Hazebase is now one of the leading suppliers of fog and hazer machines. Founder and owner Uta Raabe has been active in the industry for over 30 years. The company’s success is based on her expertise and not least on the quality of the products with the “Made in Germany” label. With innovative solutions, Hazebase recently demonstrated at Prolight + Sound that event technology and sustainability are not mutually exclusive.
Fog machines for every occasion
Whether it’s a concert in a stadium or a small show – thanks to the wide range of products, the devices are suitable for almost any application. In addition to a selection of fog and hazer machines, event organisers also have the option of using fluid distribution systems. This enables the individual and targeted use of haze and fog effects – in event rooms, on large and small stages or at open-air events. Hazebase presented some of its products in the ProEvent area at Prolight + Sound and emphasised the innovative power and versatility of Hazebase devices, which offer a suitable solution for every need.
Perfection for the stage: the powerful Hazebase touring² in action
If you are travelling with your show on several stages, you not only need powerful, but also practical and robust equipment. The “hazebase touring²” is just right for such purposes. The fog machine and fan are permanently installed in a case that can withstand the shocks of loading and clearing. Practical castors ensure mobility so that the hazer can be transported to its place of use without having to lug it around. The touring² is available as a single or double – the difference is that either one or two fog machines, each with an output of 3100 watts, are installed in the device. The fan remains the same.
With the clever air deflector at the front of the device, it becomes a huge haze effect that fills stadiums in a fraction of the time. The Hazebase touring² is ready for use in less than 14 minutes. It can be controlled via DMX with either two channels (1x fog machine + 1x fan) or three channels (2x fog machines + 1x fan) or an inbuilt timer. Wired and wireless controls are also available.
The water-based Hazebase fluid is suitable for any environment. From a quick atomisation to a dense mist that remains suspended in the air. The device can run continuously in non-stop mode.
The high-performance device has an in-built 450 W fan, which can be used to increase the dense output further and faster than before.

Same performance – less consumption
Sustainability now plays an important role in almost every industry, especially when it comes to stage and event technology. In the past, devices for lighting, sound or other effects, such as artificial fog, were “power guzzlers” par excellence. But a change in thinking is taking place: People want to experience events, but not necessarily at the expense of the environment. More and more organisers are therefore trying to make their planned shows as sustainable as possible.
Hazebase has evolved in this respect and is realising this customer wish with innovative systems. At this year’s Prolight + Sound, the manufacturer presented two hazers that require significantly fewer watts than comparable devices from other suppliers. Normally, hazers consume around 1000 watts, but not so the “Hazer² – the cube” and “The Fab”. The latter scores with a consumption of 500 watts, while the “Cube” only needs 350 watts.
Sustainability is also playing an increasingly important role in our industry. We are therefore proud that with “The Cube” and “The Fab” we have two hazers that meet the wishes and requirements of our customers. Both devices deliver the usual performance with significantly reduced consumption. This means that less energy is required with the same fog output.

Another special feature: both devices have a wide-range input. This means that they can also be operated without any problems in countries that do not have a standard voltage of 230 volts, such as Japan or the USA.
Modern and efficient: the Hazer² – The Cube
The Hazer² – the Cube offers numerous features and economical consumption characteristics. With air baffles that can be swivelled by +/- 45°, the fog direction can be precisely controlled, while the haze density can be flexibly adjusted from 1 to 100%. A 1.3″ OLED display with capacitive touch panel enables intuitive operation. The hazer works without a compressor, which makes it particularly efficient. It only needs 10 seconds to heat up and consumes 4 to 187 ml of liquid per hour. It is controlled via DMX/RDM, cable remote control or in standalone mode and is supported by integrated axial fans with 170m³/h, which can be controlled from 0-100%.
Technically, the Hazer² – The Cube is well equipped with connection data of 90-240 V~, 50-60 Hz, 350 W (PowerCON TRUE1). It supports the DMX512, RDM and JT-Remote protocols and has a DMX footprint with 2 channels. The integrated sensors monitor the fan speed and temperature. With dimensions of 305 x 205 x 300 mm (LxWxH) and a weight of approx. 7 kg, the Hazer² – The Cube is an efficient and versatile solution for sophisticated fog effects, compatible with Base*V fluid.

The Fab: Compact performance in a robust flight case
The Fab is an advanced hazer that impresses with its short heat-up time of just 5 seconds and adjustable vapour density of 1-100%. Equipped with a 2.8″ TFT display with touch panel and automatic display rotation, it offers user-friendly operation. The swivelling air baffles, which can be adjusted by +/- 45° via DMX, and the integrated 2-port switch enable precise control and a wide range of applications. The Fab is supplied in a robust flight case, making it ideal for mobile use.
Technically, the Fab works without a compressor and has connection data of 100-240 V~, 50-60 Hz, 500 W (PowerCON TRUE1). The fluid tank has a capacity of 1000ml, with pump performance ranging from 5.6ml per hour at 1% to 223ml per hour at 100%. It supports communication interfaces such as 10/100 Mbit Ethernet with integrated 2-port switch and 5-pin XLR in/out connectors. Supported protocols include Artnet, sACN, DMX512 and RDM. DMX control is via 3 channels (pump, fan speed, air baffle). The hazer is equipped with two axial fans, each providing 100m³/h airflow and adjustable from 0-100%. The motorised air baffles are also controllable. Integrated sensors monitor the fan speed, acceleration and temperature. The Fab has an integrated battery (4x NiMH batteries) for configuration without a mains cable and is compatible with Base*V fluid. The device weighs 16.6 kg and has the dimensions of a 19″ flight case with 2 U.

No “clouds” thanks to special fluid
No Haze without fluid: Both the Cube and the FAB develop their full power with the right fluid, which is vaporised. Thanks to the use of a different raw material in the base*V fluid – the special fluid for Cube and FAB – the often undesirable “cloud formation” is finally a thing of the past. The Haze also lasts much longer, so that both devices can be considered very economical: The fluid consumption of the FAB is 200ml/hour, while the cube only requires 180ml/hour.
