It’s one of the top events of the year for EDM fans: on 21 February, 16,000 music fans hit Messe Frankfurt for WinterWorld, Germany’s gigantic indoor EDM event. As befits a megaparty like this, a spectacular line-up – including Robin Schulz, ATB, Klaudia Gawlas, The Avener, and Felix Kröcher – needed to be cast, quite literally, in the best light.
That’s where the organisers of the thirteenth iteration of WinterWorld turned to a variety of laser systems provided by the Laserworld group, including four high-performance systems from the RTI FEMTO series (FEMTO RGB 7) as well as various RTI PIKO systems.
The right laser for stage shows
“Lasers are being used at more and more festivals and concerts – even for music styles like metal, rock, or hip hop, which have proven more reluctant in the past,” said Benedikt Orthen, Laserworld’s director of rental. “We’ve seen a definite rise in demand for our high-end laser systems for all kinds of stage shows, which has led us to significantly increase our rental inventory. In fact, we currently have more than one hundred laser systems available for hire.”
