Prolight + Sound Guangzhou 2026 once again showed how strongly visual technologies are shaping the event and ProAV industry. Alongside audio, lighting, staging, system integration and digital entertainment, LED displays played a central role. One of the exhibitors in this field was DDW Display. At the trade fair in Guangzhou, the company presented various LED display solutions for stages, live production, fixed installation, retail and digital communication.
DDW Display showcased a portfolio that covers several application areas in modern event and AV technology: rental LED displays, fixed installation LED screens, creative LED displays and LED poster displays. The wider product environment also played a role, including COB LED displays, all-in-one LED displays as well as flexible and customized LED solutions.
DDW Display: LED screens for different applications
DDW Display develops LED display solutions for various professional applications. The portfolio ranges from classic LED video walls and stage and rental systems to special shapes, transparent screens, fine-pitch solutions and digital poster displays. The company therefore addresses not only event service providers, but also ProAV integrators, exhibition stand builders, retail concepts, studios, conference rooms, sports venues and architectural installations.
Rental LED screens: modular systems for stages and live production
A key product area for DDW Display is rental LED screens. These displays are designed for temporary use, for example at concerts, tours, festivals, corporate events, exhibitions, conferences and stage productions. In this area, DDW offers several series, including the D Series, Aflex Series, A Series, W Series and RA Series. The systems are designed for flexible setups, fast installation and reliable use in changing production environments.
The A Series is particularly interesting. It is available in cabinet sizes of 500 x 500 mm and 500 x 1000 mm and covers pixel pitches such as P1.95, P2.604, P2.976, P3.91 and P4.81. This makes it suitable both for finer indoor applications and for larger stage surfaces. Key features include a high refresh rate, flat and curved setups, front and rear maintenance, die-cast aluminium cabinets, magnetic installation, scalable modular design and, depending on the version, outdoor suitability.
Rental LED screens need to deliver more than good image quality. They also have to work reliably in everyday production environments. They are transported, installed, adjusted, maintained and reused at the next event. Modular cabinets can be used to create large stage backdrops, side screen surfaces, DJ booths, stage portals or visual elements for immersive setups.
LED poster displays: digital communication for trade fairs, retail and foyers
A second important product group is LED poster displays. DDW offers series such as PITF, PIF, PI, PO, FL and DS. These displays are aimed less at large stage surfaces and more at digital communication areas for exhibition stands, retail environments, airports, shopping malls, foyers, exhibitions and promotional spaces.
The PIF Series is designed as a foldable and portable indoor LED poster. It offers pixel pitches of P1.25, P1.53, P1.86, P2 and P2.5, a size of 640 x 1920 mm and a brightness of 800 nits. The LED posters also feature:
- multi-screen splicing
- front maintenance
- smart cloud management
- a high refresh rate of 3840 Hz
- the option to combine up to eight LED posters into a larger video wall
The PI Series is designed as an ultra-thin, modular indoor LED poster and can be mounted on the floor, wall or ceiling. Control is possible via USB, WiFi, 4G/5G, app and HDMI. For outdoor applications, DDW offers the PO Series, among others, with pixel pitches such as P2.5, P3.076, P4, P4.81 and P5, a size of 640 x 1920 mm and a brightness of 3000 to 5000 cd/m².
COB LED displays: fine-pitch solutions for high-quality indoor applications
With COB LED displays, DDW Display addresses high-quality indoor applications. COB stands for “chip on board”. In this technology, LED chips are mounted directly onto a carrier board. This design is mainly associated with small pixel pitches, a more robust surface and fine image reproduction. In this category, DDW offers the QDCOB Series, ECOB Series and DCOB Series, among others.
COB LED displays are particularly interesting for applications with short viewing distances. These include conference rooms, control rooms, studios, showrooms, control centres and prestigious presentation areas. In the ProAV context, this product group is important because LED screens are increasingly being integrated into permanent room solutions. In such environments, size and brightness are not the only factors that matter. Readability, colour reproduction, fine details and a high-quality overall impression are just as important.
DDW also uses COB options in the all-in-one segment. The QDCOBAIOF Series includes pixel pitches such as P0.78, P0.93, P1.25 and P1.56 as well as sizes of 135 inches and 162 inches. DDW lists COB, SMD and GOB versions and image reproduction without colour deviation.
All-in-one LED displays: integrated solutions for meeting rooms and presentations
DDW Display’s all-in-one LED displays are aimed at applications where a professional LED display surface needs to be integrated into rooms as simply as possible. DDW offers the QDCOBAIOF Series and the HKAIO Series, among others. The systems combine large display surfaces with integrated functions for conferencing, presentations and collaboration.
The HKAIO Series is described as a large-format, intelligent and seamlessly assembled screen solution with an integrated conference system. It supports multi-party video communication, information display, collaborative whiteboarding and wireless projection. High-quality 2K, 4K and 8K applications are also supported.
In one product article, DDW also mentions 135-inch and 165-inch wall-mounted solutions. The 135-inch version uses P1.56, a COB, SMD or GOB configuration, a screen size of 3000 x 1687.5 mm, a weight of 120 kg, a refresh rate of 3840 to 7680 Hz, 14 to 16 bit grayscale and a brightness of 1000 nits.
Creative LED screens: special shapes for stages, brand spaces and experience areas
Creative LED screens are a particularly visual product group. DDW offers the CL Series, CY Series, 3D Series and Ball Series, among others. These displays move further away from the classic rectangular video wall. They can be used as round, cylindrical, three-dimensional or individually designed LED surfaces.
This product group is especially exciting for stages, exhibitions, shopping malls, clubs, studios, brand spaces and immersive installations. Creative LED screens do more than display content. They become design elements in their own right. They can structure spaces, create lines of sight, connect digital content with physical forms or shape the visual identity of a stage design.
Flexible LED screens: curved surfaces and customized shapes
Flexible LED screens are closely related to creative LED displays. These screens can be bent, curved or adapted to irregular surfaces. Such solutions are suitable for curved indoor displays, decoration, advertising, creative studios, cylinders, spheres and architectural installations. Customized shapes such as cubes, triangles or other special formats are also possible.
Transparent LED screens: digital content on glass and architectural surfaces
With transparent LED screens, DDW Display offers another product group for retail, architecture and brand communication. This category includes the 3DH Series, TAD Series, TO Series, DIP Series, TR Series and TI Series, among others. Such displays are often used on glass surfaces, in shop windows, on façades, in showrooms or at exhibition stands.
The advantage of transparent LED screens is that digital content becomes visible without completely closing off the surface. This means that the effect of glass, spatial depth or architecture is partly retained.
Sports LED displays: LED technology for arenas and sports venues
Sports LED displays are also part of DDW Display’s portfolio. In this area, the company offers the SP PLUS Series, SP PRO Series and SP Series, among others. These displays are designed for sports venues, arenas and stadiums. Typical applications include scoreboards, replays, advertising, sponsor areas and live information.
Although this product group is not at the centre of a classic stage-focused article, it fits into the broader understanding of event technology. Modern sports venues are also live entertainment spaces in which display surfaces, content and audience experience play an important role.
DDW Display showed a broad LED portfolio in Guangzhou
DDW Display’s appearance at Prolight + Sound Guangzhou 2026 made clear how versatile professional LED display technology has become. Rental LED screens are aimed at stages, tours and temporary live production. LED poster displays serve trade fairs, retail and digital communication. COB and HD LED screens stand for high-quality indoor display surfaces. All-in-one LED displays bring LED technology into meeting rooms and presentation environments. Creative, flexible and transparent LED screens expand the possibilities for stage design, architecture, brand spaces and immersive experiences.
