With its strong focus on the talents of tomorrow, Prolight + Sound has placed great emphasis on the promotion of young talent for many years. The Future Talents Day in particular sends out a strong signal here and provides interested young people with exciting insights into the industry.
Future Talents Day – a look behind the scenes
On 28 April 2023, the Future Talents Day will take place at Prolight + Sound. The varied programme is not only aimed at trainees and students, but schoolchildren will also get their money’s worth.
This programme attracts visitors to the Future Talents Day:
Behind the scenes @Messe Frankfurt (10.30 a.m. to 12.00 p.m., for pupils)
Messe Frankfurt is the world’s largest trade fair, congress and event organiser with its own exhibition grounds – at the Futur Talents Day, schoolchildren can take an exclusive look “Behind The Scenes” and see where employees give their best every day to ensure that everything runs smoothly at the events.
The guided tour takes students behind the scenes and they get exclusive insights into trade fair operations, learn about the sophisticated logistics in the Cargo Center, for example – and are there live when the food and catering for tens of thousands of guests and stand personnel are prepared in a modern industrial kitchen.
Technology live on stage (1.00 to 4.00 p.m., for schoolchildren)
Have you always wanted to know who and what is actually behind a live event, what happens in the run-up and who is involved? At the Future Talents Day, pupils have the opportunity to get to the bottom of these and other questions.
Together with our experts, they build a stage for a live event, learn what happens during a sound check and provide the perfect setting. At the subsequent performance of a surprise artist, the participants can experience the result of their work live.
“Talents Rally” (full day possible)
With the “Talents Tour”, we bring trainees and pupils together with companies at the Prolight + Sound exhibition stands. With the help of various questions, participants get to know different companies in the industry as Future Talents. Whether “Tech Tour”, “Event Technology for Event Managers” or “Sustainability in the Event Industry” – you choose the topics that interest you most for your professional future.
The Future of Music Production (11.00 to 12.00, for trainees and students)
The Performance + Production Hub at Prolight + Sound is an interactive experience zone for the latest trends in digital sound production. Here, experts from the industry present innovative music tools and give insights into their skills. Music enthusiasts can improvise and experiment here together with the experts in jam sessions.
Network now! (13.00 to 16.00, open area for all)
Networking is one of the most important aspects of Prolight + Sound. This is not only true for companies. Future professionals can also network and discuss with future colleagues from the industry at the fair:
- How does the event industry have to position itself today to remain attractive to the talents of tomorrow?
- What do you expect from your future career field?
- What makes a company attractive to young employees?
- How do we manage together as an industry to position ourselves sustainably for the future?
These and many other questions will be answered in the Vintage Concert Audio Area in Hall 11.0.
Is it sustainable or can it go away? (15.00 to 16.00, for all)
Die Ärzte do it, Die Toten Hosen do it and Seeed do it anyway: they all deal with topics like sustainability and environmental friendliness. “The Changency”, an agency for sustainable change, was allowed to accompany all the projects and chat out of the sewing box: What went wrong? What worked well? Which band member was the most committed?
Sustainability – an increasingly important topic also at events
Especially among young people, the topic of sustainability is playing a growing role. The agency “Changency” has accompanied artists like Die Toten Hosen, Die Ärzte and Seeed in the realisation of more sustainable tour concepts. At the Future Talents Day, experienced project managers will report on the pitfalls, hurdles and successes in this area and will also talk about their day-to-day work on tour.
Register now for the Future Talents Day free of charge and receive all further information by e-mail from Messe Frankfurt. We look forward to your registration!
