InEar stands for quality in the field of in-ear monitoring systems and has established itself as one of the leading manufacturers through continuous further development. Under the motto “hear the difference”, the team, led by founder Andreas Schmitt and supported by Miriam Lettau and Marius Schmitt, works on customised communication systems “made in Germany” in audio technology. At Prolight + Sound 2024, InEar not only showcased its latest projects, but also organised the Silent Stage.
Optimal sound control in a family-run tradition
In the family-run business, passion for precise sound and craftsmanship merge to create high-quality products that are precisely tailored to the needs of their customers. This combination of tradition and innovation makes the in-ear monitors from inEar an indispensable tool for musicians on stage. Developed through the use of modern technology and direct feedback, inEar’s monitoring systems provide optimal sound control in noisy environments and enable a clear, precise sound experience.
Our products are used in all areas where the artist needs to hear themselves. This starts with musicians on stage, continues with theatre, musicals and orchestras and extends to the DJ sector.

What makes InEar products stand out?
- Manufacturing process: Every in-ear monitoring system from inEar is manufactured in Germany, and the process includes strict quality controls. From the first design sketch to the final product, every step is carefully monitored. Most of the production is done by hand, which means that each piece is individually assembled and tested by experienced technicians. This enables precise customisation to the specific needs and wishes of customers, be they musicians, sound engineers or audio enthusiasts.
- Special technologies: InEar relies on a range of proprietary technologies to improve the sound quality and functionality of its products. These include the use of multiple driver configurations that enable detailed and balanced sound reproduction across the entire frequency spectrum. In addition, inEar integrates technologies such as the hearmix® PRO, which provides real-time ambient audibility through built-in microphones without compromising isolation – an essential feature for live performances.
- Materials: The choice of materials plays a crucial role in the performance and comfort of the in-ear monitors. inEar uses high-quality, skin-friendly plastics and silicones for the ear moulds to ensure optimum wearing comfort and excellent sound isolation. The use of robust metal components for the outer housings of the monitors also ensures high durability and protection against physical damage.
The perfect companion on tour: StageDiver 5
The StageDiver 5 from inEar is designed for live musicians and audiophiles who don’t want to compromise on sound quality. This model is characterised by its innovative five-driver architecture, which offers exceptional sonic richness and depth across the entire frequency spectrum. Each driver is precisely tuned to amplify a specific frequency bandwidth, resulting in exceptionally detailed and spatial sound reproduction. The StageDiver 5’s ergonomic design has been carefully engineered to provide a universal fit that moulds to the contours of different ear shapes, significantly increasing comfort even during extended sessions. The robust construction and detachable cable system make the StageDiver 5 not only extremely durable, but also practical for professional use on tour!

The hearmix® PRO is an innovative ambient sound system characterised by a special cable with integrated microphones. This device allows the musician to fine-tune the ambient sound directly on their own body without the need for additional technology such as external mixing consoles or microphones. Both the audience and other ambient sounds remain audible, even when the in-ear monitors are inserted. Thanks to its universal 2-pin connector, the hearmix® PRO is compatible with almost all common in-ear models. Its robust full metal housing makes it a reliable companion on every tour.
Perform better? With the right monitoring!
Good monitoring is essential for musicians and sound engineers as it enables precise sound perception and control during live performances and in the studio. Clear sound reproduction helps artists to hear themselves and their fellow musicians accurately, which is essential for optimal timing and improved overall performance. Effective monitoring prevents sound clipping and distortion and allows musicians to focus on the details of the music. For ideal monitoring, the monitor mix should be customised. In addition, the use of advanced systems such as InEar’s hearmix® PRO, which allows ambient noise to be included, can improve the natural listening environment and reduce isolation. These measures create a monitoring system that can significantly enhance the musical performance,
Audience magnet: Silent Stage
The special “Silent Stage” area was located directly opposite the InEar stand at Prolight + Sound 2024. The stage, which was first introduced in 2017 and regularly featured live musicians, was organised and implemented by InEar alone. This innovative stage allows visitors to experience the sound of professional event technology and live music.
We always had a full house when our live band played. For musicians and artists, the comfort and sound experience of in-ear monitoring is hugely important. And what better way to demonstrate this than during a live performance? That’s why the Silent Stage is a real attraction for us.
Carsten Hesse, Sales Monitoring InEar
The Silent Stage concept aims to minimise the noise level on stage through the use of amp simulations, isolation speakers and electronic instruments. The visitors (and musicians) listen to the music via the in-ear products provided. The advantages of this concept are a focussed presentation, the demonstration of sound quality without ambient interference, a personal listening experience, noise reduction, an innovative presentation format and an interactive experience.
