The topics of sustainability and theater technology will play a special role at this year’s Prolight + Sound. With the Green Event Day, the trade fair is thus focusing on a sustainable future in the event industry. The area of theater and stage technology as a supporting pillar will receive, among other things, a new Theater + Light Stage in Hall 12.0, where a specialized lecture program will be presented. Those interested can experience these subject areas in a very special way: with the Guided Tours.
Two-hour guided tour of the trade fair
For the first time, Prolight + Sound 2022 will feature expertly moderated trade show tours on the topic of theater technology or sustainability. The tours provide a compact overview of the trade show in two hours. Specialists and managers will present product innovations, innovations and technologies that are particularly interesting from a planning and technical point of view. The tours start at the Theatre + Light Stage in Hall 12.0 A31 and end at the Future Hub/ Networking Lounge in Hall 11.0 B70.
However, places on the trade show tours are limited to 20 people per tour. Therefore, prior registration for a tour is required. Interested parties can still register for the Guided Tours until April 20, 2022. Once they have registered, visitors will be informed in good time before the start of the trade fair whether they can take part in the tour.
Key player in the stage technology sector
In addition to a dedicated Theater + Light Stage, where suppliers of stage and lighting technology will present their latest products in product demos, Hall 12.0 will feature key players in stage machinery, control, automation and equipment, as well as companies in the lighting and sound segment offering their specialized theater solutions. These trade fair tours will present selected new products and innovations that break new ground in terms of technology and planning.
Sustainable and ecological
As part of the trade fair tours, manufacturers of energy-saving and ecologically beneficial solutions will be presenting themselves. In this way, visitors can get an overview of media technology equipment with a view to a more positive eco-balance. In addition, the Future Hub is part of the Guided Tours. This year, the traditional area for young talent is not only concerned with the technical future, but also with the sustainable one. For example, the special show area is created using resource-saving and recyclable materials and is powered 100 percent by green electricity. Here, interested visitors will find the Start-up Area for young companies, the Campus powered by VPLT as a presentation platform for educational institutions, and the Career Center as a meeting hub between companies with vacancies and professionals looking for new challenges.
