Events have a special charm when the music in the background isn’t coming from an MP3 player, but a live DJ instead. Yet finding the right DJ isn’t always easy. To help you simplify the choice of DJs, the Berufsverband Discjockey e.V.(BVD e.V.) created a site, discjockey.de, where DJs can be found and booked.
DJ bookings made easy
DJ selection is done with a search interface, in which the place, kind of event and number of attendees plays a role. The search can be restricted according to your needs.
The portal produces a results list of DJs in the area, plus an overview of important information like price, experience, and proximity. The DJ’s respective profiles contain further information, including the genre specialty. Finally, you can book the selected DJ via the site.
Disc jockey alarm for emergencies
According to BVD, the new platform offers a wide range of different skills and qualities. DJs can be compared on Discjockey.de without having to search through 100 different sites.
There is also an emergency number posted on the platform. This is always online and available for event organizers who have already booked a disc jockey. If the DJ cancels, the emergency number makes it possible to order a new, available DJ for the event.
DJCon at Prolight + Sound 2019
With over 1,000 members, the BVD e.V. is by far the largest association for DJs in Europe. The association advocates for the assertion of certain quality standards.
The association already made an appearance at Prolight + Sound 2016 with its own convention. DJCon will take place in 2019 as well, but this time in a different location: the DJ Convention will take place in Hall 4.0 Europa Saal this time around.
