For the twelfth time, the SINUS Award ceremony will once again be held at this year’s Prolight + Sound. The categories this year include Information, Business, Venue, and Entertainment, and in each one outstanding projects that have caught the eye with their exceptional use of systems integration and the latest media technology, as well the implementation of innovative ideas, will be rewarded.
The winners chosen in the Entertainment and Corporate categories are ‘Anthem of the Seas’ and ‘Stuttgart University’.
SINUS Award – The Winners
The cruise ship Anthem of the Seas has taken the honours in the Entertainment category for 2016. Its multiplex events space convinced the jury with a plethora of the latest media technology in a complex and high-concept implementation, installed by Amptown System Company. Glass walls all the way up to the ceiling and six dancing roboscreens in the Two70° event space have guests gasping in admiration and losing themselves in another dimension.
During the day, guests enjoy a 270° panoramic view of the sea. As soon as the sun sets, 18 projectors create a 30m wide video wall. To make this possible, special sunblinds and further tailor-made technology had to be installed. Thanks to the ‘ear catching’ acoustics, dance, musical performances and shows are unique and spectacular experiences for the guests.
The SINUS Award 2016 in the Corporate category goes to Stuttgart University for the installation of audiovisual technology in their lecture theatres, with the work being carried out by Wireworx and Cancom Didas. Wireworx executed the concept, planning, project management and commissioning, while Cancom Didas installed the equipment.
63 lecture theatres were upgraded and re-equipped. Along with improved AV equipment, a comprehensive video-management platform was also installed. This all took place during normal university hours, an achievement well worthy of recognition.
And you are invited to attend the awards ceremony! Just come along to Hall 4.0 in Saal Europa at 7pm on 7 April.
