Even before the first spotlight comes on, the first note is played or a special effect is triggered, an entire technical infrastructure needs to be working behind the scenes. Trusses support lighting and audio systems, hoists move heavy loads into position, cables distribute power and signals – and only then can technology become a show. At Prolight + Sound Bangkok 2026, the focus is therefore not only on what audiences will later see and hear. The technology behind it all also takes centre stage. From 30 September to 2 October 2026, companies at BITEC Bangkok will present solutions for rigging and lifting, stage power and connectivity, entertainment lighting and special effects.
The trade fair features Stage Equipment & Technology as a dedicated product area. This includes hoists, truss and rigging systems, mobile stages, flight cases and special effects. We introduce some of the companies whose technology makes professional stage productions possible.
SHUANGNIAO: When heavy equipment needs to go up
Loudspeakers, lighting equipment, LED walls and trusses can quickly add up to considerable loads. To move them safely into the right position, reliable lifting technology is essential. This is where Shuangniao / TBM comes in. The Chinese company has been developing and manufacturing lifting equipment since 1984. Its portfolio includes electric wire rope and chain hoists, manual chain blocks and lever hoists, slings and other lifting systems. The manufacturer also has a dedicated product category for stage hoists.
At Prolight + Sound Bangkok, Shuangniao will present solutions for professional lifting and rigging applications. These include:
- Electric wire rope and chain hoists
- Manual chain blocks and lever hoists
- High-strength slings
- Movable jib cranes
- Anchor chains
Shuangniao therefore covers an area that usually remains out of the spotlight during live productions, but is essential for setting up, positioning and operating stage technology safely.

Giant Truss, GIS AG and Altimate: Truss, lifting and rigging working together
How does a stage support lighting, audio equipment and other technical loads? Giant Truss, GIS AG and Altimate offer an insight into how different systems work together during their joint appearance in Bangkok. The range extends from truss and stage structures to professional lifting technology and rigging solutions. Visitors can therefore explore a large part of the technical chain operating above and around a stage in one place.
Giant Truss develops aluminium trusses and structures for stages and events. GIS AG complements the range with electric chain hoists for professional entertainment applications. The Swiss manufacturer develops lifting technology for stages, venues, arenas, studios and touring productions, among other applications. Altimate, meanwhile, focuses on rigging systems, hoist control and load monitoring.
Complex installations are not simply about lifting a load. What matters is the interaction between the supporting structure, lifting technology, control and monitoring.

HUASHAO: Power and signals for the stage
While trusses and hoists form the visible structure of a production, much of the technical infrastructure runs more discreetly across the stage floor and behind the scenes: power and signal cables. According to the trade fair announcement, HUASHAO brings 17 years of experience in research, development and manufacturing of cable and power distribution solutions for professional stage applications to Bangkok.
The company will present solutions including:
- Electric and signal cables
- Power distribution
- Stage connectivity
- Customised systems
Live productions require a wide variety of systems to be supplied with power and reliably connected – from lighting and audio to other stage components. HUASHAO positions itself as a provider of complete connectivity and power solutions for the professional stage sector.

COREAT: Where stage technology meets lighting
Stage and lighting technology can hardly be separated in a real-world production. This is also demonstrated by Coreat, which will present solutions for entertainment, stage and architectural lighting applications in Bangkok.
The focus includes LED moving heads, controllers and customised solutions for entertainment venues such as clubs, bars, KTV venues and banquet halls. According to the company, it combines in-house research and development, production and sales capabilities and supports projects from concept through to installation.
Coreat therefore occupies an area where traditional stage technology and Professional Lighting meet: the technology becomes part of the stage – and at the same time part of its visual impact.

ROXTONE: Connections a production can rely on
Not every piece of stage technology lifts several hundred kilograms or can be seen from a distance. Some components above all need to do one thing: work reliably. ROXTONE specialises in professional audio connectivity and stage equipment for touring, installation, broadcasting and professional AV applications. Its range includes cables, connectors, multicore systems and stage boxes.
The product range shows just how varied modern signal paths can be. ROXTONE offers, for example, professional audio stage boxes with multicore cables as well as CAT-based splitter systems for transmitting audio and, in some cases, lighting signals. In Bangkok, ROXTONE will present its connectivity and accessory solutions alongside audio equipment from the MUSONTEK brand.
The company therefore complements traditional rigging and lifting exhibitors with another essential part of live production: reliable connections between individual technical components.

PROSTAGEFX: When stage technology becomes part of the effect
And then there is the moment when technology no longer works quietly in the background but becomes part of the show itself. PROSTAGEFX is bringing professional special-effects solutions for events, concerts and live shows to Prolight + Sound Bangkok. The company has been active in the special-effects and show sector for more than 20 years and lists concerts, TV shows, sporting events, clubs and major opening ceremonies among its fields of application. This brings the technical journey full circle: what begins with supporting structures, lifting technology, power distribution and signal paths becomes a visible part of the Live Experience.

Stage Technology: The technical backbone of the Live Experience
A spectacular production is not created by a single technology. Only when structures, rigging, lifting technology, power distribution, connectivity, lighting and effects work together can an empty space become a professional stage. It is precisely this breadth that makes Stage Technology at Prolight + Sound Bangkok 2026 so interesting. Visitors can not only discover individual products, but also gain an understanding of how many different systems work together behind concerts, festivals, clubs, venues and other live productions.
With Shuangniao, Giant Truss, GIS AG, Altimate, HUASHAO, ROXTONE, Coreat and PROSTAGEFX, a broad spectrum is already emerging ahead of the show – from the first supporting element to the final special effect. Prolight + Sound Bangkok will take place from 30 September to 2 October 2026 in Hall 100 at BITEC Bangkok. As a new platform for entertainment, event and Pro AV technologies, it brings together suppliers from the fields of Professional Audio, Lighting, Stage Technology, LED & Display and other entertainment technologies in Bangkok.
